About the Role
Pertemps Dudley Industrial seeks an experienced Power Press Setter for a manufacturing business in Dudley. Working Monday to Friday, the successful candidate will set and operate presses ranging from 25T to 400T, handling forming, piercing, cropping and progression tooling. Duties include setting de-coilers, reading engineering drawings, and performing quality checks with verniers, callipers, plug gauges and height gauges. Troubleshooting press, tooling and production problems forms a key part of the position. Applicants should demonstrate proven experience with power presses and precision measuring equipment. The role offers £15.00 to £16.50 per hour, dependent on experience, on a full-time temporary to permanent contract.

Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Power Press Setter/Operator to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Dudley.This is a great opportunity for an experienced Power Press Setter looking for an opportunity to work across a range of power presses and tooling.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and operate Power Presses from 25T – 400T
- Set forming, piercing, cropping and progression/follow-through tooling
- Set and operate de-coilers
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Carry out quality checks using Verniers, callipers, plug gauges and height gauges
- Troubleshoot press, tooling and production issues
- Complete production and quality documentation
- Carry out basic preventative maintenance and press guard inspections
- Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and housekeeping
- Work to ISO 9001 quality standards
- Support and guide junior operators when required
- Previous experience as a Power Press Setter/Operator
- Valid RoSPA Power Press Setter's Certificate
- Experience working with a range of press tooling
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Competent using measuring equipment
- Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Understanding of quality standards and Health & Safety
Monday – Thursday: 08:00 – 16:15 or 07:30 – 16:15
Friday: 08:00 – 15:30 or 07:30 – 12:30
Overtime may be available depending on production requirements.
