Power BI Developer6-Month contract - Inside IR35 - market rateLondon based - hybrid working - 3 days a week onsiteBanking sector Role:To design, develop and support enterprise-scale Power BI semantic models, dashboards and reporting solutions for Risk Reporting, with particular focus on semantic model architecture, automated refresh processes, partitioning, governance and performance optimisation. Responsibilities:Designing and developing enterprise-grade Power BI reports, dashboards and scorecards. Building and maintaining semantic models using dimensional modelling best practices. Developing advanced DAX calculations, calculation groups and optimisation techniques. Implementing Incremental Refresh and semantic model partitioning strategies. Managing large-scale datasets and optimising refresh and query performance. Developing and supporting Python-based processes used to trigger semantic model refreshes and processing. Integrating Power BI with orchestration and scheduling frameworks. Implementing Row-Level Security (RLS), governance controls and access management. Supporting Power BI Premium/Fabric capacity management. Troubleshooting refresh failures, gateway issues and performance bottlenecks. Implementing CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation for Power BI assets.Skills and Experience:Essential Expert Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service experience.
