Power and pumps service engineer

SLD Pumps and Power, a Carrier company, isone of the UK''s leading suppliers of pumps and generator rentalequipment.Aboutthe role:We arecurrently recruiting an experience Service Engineer for our Paisleydepot to support both depot-based and field-based operations acrossScotland, on occasions there will be travel required acrossScotland which may include Livingston, Glasgow, Aberdeen,Inverness, and Falkirk. This is an excellent opportunity for amechanically skilled engineer with diesel engine experience lookingto develop theircareer.Whatyou’ll be doing:Service, maintain, and repair pumps, generators,and diesel-powered equipment in both depot and field-basedenvironments. Prepare andinspect equipment at the depot to ensure it is fully operationalbefore deployment. Carryout major overhauls and refurbishments of end-of-lifeequipment. Diagnose faultsand perform repairs to minimise equipmentdowntime. Collaborateeffectively with the service team, hire controller, and foreman toensure smooth operations.Ensure compliance with Health and Safetyregulations and company policies at all times.Maintain a clean andorganised working environment, ensuring all equipment meets safetyand quality standards.Travel to customer sites and participate in anon-call rota (1 week in 4).You’llhave: Mechanicalexperience, ideally working with plant equipment, pumps,generators, and diesel engines.Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, anMandE related apprenticeship or equivalent.Full UK Driving licenceOurbenefitsCompetitive salary package (NegotiableDOE) Enhanced paymentsthrough overtime and on-callCompany Vehicle25 Days Holiday + bank holiday + holidaypurchase scheme CompanyPension Great careerprogression opportunities, development and continuous trainingofferedCarrier is An EqualOpportunity/AffirmativeAction Employer.
