Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum, depending on experience

Interaction Recruitment are currently working with a well-established and growing metalworking business based in Baldock, who are looking to recruit a Powder Coating Operative to join their busy production team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in powder coating, metal finishing, manufacturing or a hands-on workshop environment. The client is also open to candidates with a strong work ethic who are keen to learn and develop their skills within powder coating.

Working as part of the production team, you will be responsible for preparing and handling metal components before and after the powder coating process.

Your duties will include:

• Preparing metal components ready for powder coating.
• Ensuring surfaces are prepared to the required standard.
• Handling and moving metal components safely and carefully.
• Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Assisting with general production and workshop duties.
• Keeping the powder coating area clean, tidy and organised.
• Following all company health & safety procedures.
• Working as part of a team to achieve daily production targets.
• Supporting other areas of the workshop when required.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous powder coating, metal finishing, manufacturing or workshop experience is advantageous.
• A good eye for detail and pride in producing quality work.
• Experience working with tools and machinery is beneficial.
• Good physical fitness and the ability to carry out manual handling.
• A reliable and hardworking attitude.
• Good attendance and timekeeping.
• The ability to work well as part of a team.
• A willingness to learn and develop within the role.

Full training can be provided for the right candidate, so previous powder coating experience is not essential if you have the right attitude and hands-on approach.
