Powder Coater - Team Leader

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Powder Coater Team Leader to join a well-established manufacturing client based in Newcastle. This is a hands-on working team leader role, ideal for someone who enjoys leading from the front while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety. Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm Key Responsibilities: Lead and supervise a small powder coating team on the shop floorRemain hands-on with powder coating duties, including preparation, coating, and quality checksEnsure daily production targets and KPIs are metMonitor costs, materials, and efficiency to support operational performanceMaintain high standards of quality, health and safety, and housekeepingSupport training and development of team membersCommunicate effectively with management regarding performance, issues, and improvements Key Requirements: Proven experience as a Powder Coater, ideally in a team leader or supervisory roleHands-on approach with strong technical knowledge of powder coating processesGood understanding of KPIs, productivity, and cost controlStrong leadership and communication skillsAbility to motivate and manage a team in a fast-paced environmentCommitment to quality and continuous improvement Xpert Recruitment Solutions Ltd is acting as an employment business on behalf of our client.
