OverviewDelivery Postie with Driving. Job reference: 329541. Location: Battersea Delivery Office, SW11 1AA. Job type: Fixed Term contract (12 months). Hours: 30 hours per week, across 5 days (Monday – Sunday), between 8:00 and 20:00. You may be required to cover alternative shift patterns with notice. Weekend work is required; Sunday shifts are 10:00–16:00. This is a physical role, involving walking and outdoor work in all weather.

Upbeat, independent and self-motivated

People-person and a friendly face in the community

Happy to walk for long periods and work outside in any weather

Strong sense of community and pride in your work

Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points

Responsibilities

Deliver letters and parcels to customers on a delivery route

Drive a Royal Mail vehicle as required and adhere to all safety and road rules

Provide good customer service and maintain accurate delivery records

Work 5 days per week, including weekends, with shifts between 8:00 and 20:00 and 10:00–16:00 on Sundays where applicable

Guaranteed hourly rate of £15.50 per hour (paid monthly and adjusted to your working hours)

Overtime pay at enhanced rate x1.25 for hours over 40 per week
