Job Title: Postal Worker – Collections (Driving Licence required)

Location: Glasgow South East Delivery Office (Collections), 14 Fullarton Dr, Glasgow G32 8FA

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Length: 8 weeks initially

Pay Rate: £13.37 per hour

Working Hours: Monday – Saturday, 12:30pm – 18:30pm

Overtime may be available. 

If successful, you must be able to pass a disclosure check.

Key Responsibilities:

You''ll start your day in the local depot where you will be allocated a number of parcels to collect over the course of your shift. 

You''ll be given a hand-held device to capture customer signatures for collections. The hand-held device will also act as your routing system, telling you where to go to next.

The role will be physically demanding and walking (sometimes for large distances) will be required. You will also be required to collect parcels weighing up to 20kg.

Driving will be required for this role. 

 

Key Skills:

Valid UK driving license with a maximum of 6 points. (a clean license is preferred)

Previous delivery or driving experience preferred but not mandatory.

Excellent time management and organisational skills.

Strong communication and customer service abilities.

A commitment to safe and responsible driving practices.

Working outdoors in all weathers is required
