About the Role

This temporary Postal Delivery Driver role in Canterbury offers £13.69 per hour, working 30 to 40 hours weekly. Shifts run Monday to Friday between 8am and 8pm, with weekend availability also required. Based at the local delivery office, duties include sorting and loading mail, using a handheld device for navigation and signature capture, then delivering letters and parcels on foot or by vehicle. Walking up to eight miles daily and lifting mail bags form part of the job. Applicants need customer service skills, physical fitness, reliability and the ability to work independently outdoors. Pertemps supports Royal Mail in filling these positions, starting towards the end of October.

About the Role:
Pertemps is proud to support Royal Mail in recruiting Multi-Drop Postal Delivery Drivers across Canterbury.

Key Responsibilities:
· Start your shift at the local delivery office to sort and load your deliveries
· Use a handheld device for signature capture and route navigation
· Deliver letters and parcels by foot and/or vehicle – walking up to 8 miles per day
· Lift and carry mail bags (up to 16kg) and parcels (up to 20kg)
· Use delivery trolleys when required
Requirements:
· Full UK manual driving licence (maximum 6 points; clean licence preferred) Need to have held your license for 6 months.
· Previous delivery or driving experience is beneficial but not essential
· Excellent time management and customer service skills
· Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
