Position: Postal / Parcel Delivery Driver
Employment Type: Temporary, Up to 35 hours per week
Location: Basingstoke
Pay Rate: £15.06 per hour
Shift Patterns: Monday to Friday, including weekend flexibility
About the Opportunity
Pertemps is currently recruiting temporary Multi-Drop Postal/Parcel Delivery Drivers on behalf of Parcelforce. This role is ideal for self-motivated individuals who enjoy independent outdoor work and have a strong passion for customer service.
Core Responsibilities
· Preparation: Begin shifts at the local delivery office to accurately sort and load daily deliveries.
· Distribution: Deliver mail and parcels both by vehicle and on foot. This physical role involves walking up to 8 miles per day.
· Operations: Utilise a company handheld device for navigating routes and capturing customer signatures.
· Manual Handling: Safely lift and carry mail bags weighing up to 16kg and parcels up to 20kg, utilising delivery trolleys as required.
Candidate Requirements
· Licence: Must hold a valid, full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points (a clean licence is preferred).
· Resilience: Ability to work comfortably outdoors across all weather conditions.
· Skills: Exceptional time management capabilities alongside a customer-first mindset.
· Experience: Prior delivery or commercial driving experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
