About the Role
The Postal Delivery Driver position based in the City of Edinburgh involves working Saturdays only, with guaranteed 8-hour shifts between 8am and 8pm. This temporary role, paying £15.06 per hour, requires sorting and loading deliveries at the local office before commencing your round. Using a handheld device for navigation and signature capture, you will deliver letters and parcels on foot or by vehicle, walking up to 8 miles daily. Physical fitness is essential, as you will lift mail bags weighing up to 16kg and parcels. Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently outdoors are key attributes for this role, which supports Parcelforce operations in the Edinburgh area.

Key Responsibilities:
- Start your shift at the local delivery office to sort and load your deliveries
- Use a handheld device for signature capture and route navigation
- Deliver letters and parcels by foot and/or vehicle – walking up to 8 miles per day
- Lift and carry mail bags (up to 16kg) and parcels (up to 20kg)
- Use delivery trolleys when required
Requirements:
- Full UK manual driving licence (maximum 6 points; clean licence preferred)
- Previous delivery or driving experience is beneficial but not essential
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
