About the Role

Pertemps is recruiting a Postal Delivery Driver in New Ferry for Royal Mail on a temporary contract. The role offers £13.69 per hour, working 30 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, with weekend availability required. Shifts run 09:00 to 16:00. Duties begin at the local delivery office, sorting and loading mail before heading out. A handheld device is used for signature capture and navigation. Deliveries are made on foot or by vehicle, covering up to eight miles daily, so physical fitness matters. Candidates must lift mail bags weighing up to 16kg and parcels up to 20kg. Customer service skills and the ability to work independently outdoors are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
· Start your shift at the local delivery office to sort and load your deliveries
· Use a handheld device for signature capture and route navigation
· Deliver letters and parcels by foot and/or vehicle – walking up to 8 miles per day
· Lift and carry mail bags (up to 16kg) and parcels (up to 20kg)
· Use delivery trolleys when required
Requirements:
· Full UK manual driving licence (maximum 6 points; clean licence preferred) Need to have held your license for 6 months.
· Previous delivery or driving experience is beneficial but not essential
· Excellent time management and customer service skills
· Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
