About the Role

As a Postal Delivery Driver based in Carrickfergus, you will join Pertemps Royal Mail on a full-time, temporary contract earning £13.69 per hour. Your working pattern covers Monday to Friday, with weekend availability also required. Each day begins at the local delivery office sorting and loading your vehicle before setting out on your round. This role involves delivering letters and parcels both on foot and by vehicle, with up to eight miles of walking daily. You will use a handheld device for route navigation and capturing signatures. The position suits someone who enjoys being outdoors, working independently, and providing excellent service to customers.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Load & Go: Start your day at the local delivery office sorting and loading your vehicle.
On the Move: Deliver letters and parcels by foot and vehicle, walking up to 8 miles a day.
Tech-Savvy Delivery: Use a handheld device for route navigation and signature captures.
Hands-On Work: Lift and carry mailbags (up to 16kg) and parcels (up to 20kg), using delivery trolleys when needed.
