- Manual and mechanical street cleansing operations

- Weed removal operations

Qualifications

All:

- Full current driving licence

- 7.5 tonne driver licence (or prepared to undertake and pass within 6 month period)

Knowledge

- Knowledge of health and safety in the workplace

- Practical knowledge of City street map

- Knowledge of vehicle operating licence requirements

Experience

- Experience in working outdoors in all weathers

- Experienced in working on own initiative and on the spot decision making including dynamic risk assessments.

- Previous experience operating plant and cleansing vehicles

Aptitude & Skills

- Interpret and action instructions

- Ability to deliver work to agreed quality

- Ability to communicate professionally at all levels.

- Ability to carry out written work associated with the task, including filling in vehicle defect books and work allocation logs.

- To conduct yourself in a professional manner when at work in a public environment as an ambassador to the council
