Post-16 Teaching Assistant
Area: Rochdale, Greater Manchester Start Date: Tuesday 1st September 2026 Contract Type: Full-time Salary: 525 - 700 per week (dependent on experience and responsibilities) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm A specialist post-16 provision based in Rochdale is looking for a Teaching Assistant to support young people aged 16-19 with a range of additional needs. The sixth form draws students from across the wider school''s secondary pathways and focuses on building independence, community inclusion, and employability skills ahead of adulthood. What you''ll do:Provide one-to-one and small group support to post-16 learnersHelp deliver personalised learning and community-based programmesSupport the development of independence, life skills, and social confidenceContribute to EHCP targets and individual planningWork closely with the wider team, families, and external agencies Post-16 Teaching Assistant - What We''re Looking For:Experience working with young people with SEND, ideally in a school, residential, or community setting. A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach to managing behaviourStrong communication and relationship-building skillsA commitment to helping pupils achieve independence and life success.
