Portfolio Solutions Underwriter

An exciting opportunity has arisen at a leading Lloyd''s insurer. Reporting to the Divisional Head of Innovation and Portfolio Underwriting, this role sits at the forefront of innovative, cross-class insurance structuring.The successful candidate will evaluate and underwrite portfolio-based insurance solutions across a range of distribution channels, including broker facilities, algorithmic platforms, consortia and coverholders. They will conduct in-depth portfolio analysis using actuarial, statistical and modelling tools, identify trends and diversification benefits, and maintain a pipeline of new underwriting opportunities through active broker and client engagement. The role also requires close collaboration with internal teams across underwriting, actuarial, compliance, exposure management and claims, as well as engagement with MGAs, technology providers and digital platforms.Candidates must have demonstrable experience working within the Lloyd''s market in an underwriting discipline. Strong analytical and commercial skills are essential, as is the ability to think innovatively, communicate effectively across all levels, and champion continuous improvement.
