Operatives - Port Environment (South Shields)
Pay: -14.54 per hour (days & nights)
Shifts: 12 hours (Apply online only) / (Apply online only)), days, nights, and weekends
We have opportunities in the South Shields area for operatives working in a port environment. The role focuses on ensuring all operations involving our customer''s cargo are carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
This is a great opportunity if you''re looking for a varied role - working across different areas depending on business needs. Full port-specific training is provided, so experience is not essential.
Key Responsibilities
Safely loading and unloading products in a timely manner
Working rostered days, nights, and weekends (flexibility required based on vessel schedules)
Providing quayside labouring duties and acting as a slinger banksman
Always maintaining safety for yourself, colleagues, and visitors
Experience & Skills
Desirable: Counterbalance FLT licence/experience
Desirable: Slinger banksman experience
Experience in a busy warehouse or port environment is beneficial but not essential
