£ VEC Operative Level 1 - Purfleet Area

Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 7AM-4PM | Immediate Start | Ongoing Work
Manpower is excited to recruit on behalf of a leading automotive client in Purfleet for the role of Vehicle Enhancement Centre (VEC) Operative Level 1. If you have experience or interest in working as a Vehicle Valeter, PDI Operative, Vehicle Handler, or Automotive Yard Operative, this is the perfect opportunity to get hands-on and grow in the automotive industry.

£ Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) and ensure vehicles meet OEM standards
• Valet and wash vehicles in wash bays
• Move and shunt vehicles around the port area, adhering to strict safety guidelines
• Complete ramp inspections, tyre pressure checks, and use torque wrenches
• Fit and install registration plates
• Assist with Long Term Stock Maintenance (LTSM)
• Report any vehicle faults or defects
• Maintain high presentation standards and follow all health andamp; safety protocols
• Attend toolbox talks and assist colleagues when needed

£ Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Previous experience in roles such as Vehicle Prep Operative, Valeter, Yard Assistant, Car Detailer, or similar
• Strong attention to detail and basic computer literacy
• A full, clean UK driving licence is essential
• Must be 21 years or older (for insurance purposes)
• Able to commute reliably to Purfleet

• £12.43 per hour + enhanced overtime rates
• Monday-Friday schedule (7AM-4PM)
