Policy Officer Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, the largest independent business organisation in the county, is looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Policy Officer to join their growing policy and public affairs team. This is a full time (37.5 hours per week), permanent position, based in Ipswich, Suffolk with opportunities for hybrid working.Please note: part-time hours will be considered for this position.About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build a career in policy, politics and public affairs. Working closely with the Policy Manager, the Policy Officer will help represent the voice of Suffolk''s businesses through policy research, stakeholder engagement and projects that influence local, regional and national decision-making.Duties include:Conduct research and analysis on policy issues affecting businesses across Suffolk and the wider East of EnglandMonitor policy and legislative developments and help shape Suffolk Chamber''s lobbying and campaigning activityPrepare consultation responses, policy briefings, reports and communicationsCo-ordinate policy forums and business roundtablesSupport engagement with MPs, local authorities and key stakeholders.What We OfferWe value our people as much as our members.
