About the Role
This role sits within Energy UK''s Policy Team and focuses on some of the most complex and high-impact areas of the energy system, including:
- Network regulation - particularly RIIO price controls and connections reform
- Infrastructure delivery - ensuring the grid is fit for net zero
- Governance and licensing - including NESO and system operator arrangements
- Stakeholder engagement - representing the sector in meetings, working groups, and conferences
- Briefing and analysis - preparing papers for the Executive Team and Board
We''re Looking For
We''re looking for someone who can hit the ground running in a technically complex space. You''ll need to be confident navigating regulatory frameworks and translating them into clear, actionable insights for members and stakeholders.
You''ll likely have:
- Experience in energy policy, regulation, or infrastructure
- Knowledge of networks infrastructure, connections, or licensing
- Experience at a regulator, network or systems operator or code administrator
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Political awareness and stakeholder engagement experience
Bonus points for:
- Knowledge of EV infrastructure, spatial planning, or locational pricing
- Legal or technical background with regulatory documentation experience
