Murray McIntosh is delighted to be working once again with RenewableUK, the UK''s leading renewable energy trade association, this time to appoint a Grid Policy Manager (EU and Charging).
RenewableUK represents over 500 organisations across wind, solar, storage and hydrogen, driving the policy and regulatory change needed for a net zero future. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the grid, market and charging reforms that will unlock the UK''s clean energy transition.
As the Grid Policy Manager role, you will have a particular focus on the link between electricity networks, economics, markets and supply chain. It will require focus on how we pay for the grid and manage it, as well as how we link our network to European neighbours. The role holder will work closely with the Grid Policy Manager (Connections and Offshore transmission).
You will also:
- Influence government, regulators, and European institutions.
- Develop clear, evidence-based policy positions for members.
- Represent the sector at high-profile forums and working groups.
This is not an exhaustive list, and will feature additional responsibilities.
We''re looking for someone with:
- Strong knowledge of UK and EU energy policy, ideally either networks or charging (such as TNUoS).
- Experience in policy development, and regulation or advocacy.
- Excellent communication and written skills - from technical briefs to senior stakeholder engagement.
- A collaborative, proactive approach and passion for net zero.
