Policy and Public Affairs Manager

Harris Hill is delighted to be recruiting for a Policy and Public Affairs Manager, to joina dynamic and impactful charity driving change at both local and national levels. This is a maternity cover contract, starting mid-May until end of April 2027.You will play a key part in shaping policy and influencing decision-makers, ensuring that lived experiences inform how services respond to some of the most complex social issues in the UK. You ll work closely with individuals with direct experience, using their insights to inform research, shape workplans, and advocate for meaningful change.You ll monitor the policy landscape, identify opportunities to influence reform, and provide expert insight to improve responses within systems and services. The role also involves representing the needs of marginalised and vulnerable communities, including those facing exploitation, mental health challenges, and systemic discrimination.About you: Experience in a policy or public affairs roleA track record of influencing change at local and/or national levelStrong relationship-building skills with policymakers and politiciansExperience engaging with Parliamentarians and APPGsConfidence communicating complex and sensitive issues clearlyUnderstanding of UK political systems and policy processesA commitment to amplifying underrepresented voicesAbility to work independently and drive projects forwardRight to work in the UK What s on offer: This is an opportunity to join a values-driven organisation ..... full job details .....
