Policy Adviser - Wales (Maternity Cover) About the Country Land and Business Association (CLA) in Wales: The CLA Cymru team, based in Builth Wells at the Royal Welsh Showground, exists to serve our members. Our members consist primarily of landowners, large and small, with a host of business interests, for which we provide advice, networking opportunities, educational events and importantly, political lobbying. We engage formally with our members via branch and policy committees, with other face to face meetings being held in person at informative, educational and social events, agricultural shows and conferences and seminars. We also run webinars and utilise other forms of technological methods to connect and communicate with our members. Beyond member communications and events, our team in Wales focusses on political lobbying and policy work, with the aim of enhancing the rural economy and the needs of our members. The policy areas that often affect our members include: farming and land use, tourism, housing, planning, infrastructure and connectivity, all within a rural setting. What you''ll be doing: We now have an exciting opening for a Policy Adviser to join our team on maternity cover. This role will work particularly closely with the Director Wales and the Policy Team.
