About the Role

HCL Workforce Solutions seeks a Band 6 Podiatrist for a locum contract in Skelmersdale, paying up to £27 per hour via your chosen umbrella company. This community-based role covers West Lancashire, including Ormskirk, Burscough, and Tarleton, offering flexible full or part-time hours. The position involves a mix of clinic and domiciliary work, so your own transport is essential. Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments and developing treatment plans for patients within the podiatry team. Remote working for administrative tasks is also available. The role requires strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload independently across different settings.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Band 6 Podiatrist to join a community-based service providing both clinic and domiciliary experience, covering Ormskirk, Skelmersdale, Burscough and Tarleton - West Lancashire areas. There will be a mixture of working in the clinic and out in the community so the candidates need to have their own transport. Some remote working for admin/notes available too!

Key responsibilities include:

  • Work as part of the podiatry team, providing assessment and treatment for patients referred for assessment and intervention.
  • Be responsible for the comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, delivery evaluation and discharge of evidence-based podiatry intervention in appropriate locations, for example patient''s homes and other community locations.
  • Assess and treat a caseload which includes complex cases, in line with experience and ability, as an autonomous practitioner with appropriate supervision, evidencing high level problem solving and reasoning skills and independence of judgement.
  • Promote health and reduce inequalities for individuals, families, and communities, optimise opportunities for health promotion and health education to enable patients to maximise their potential in terms of health and social well-being.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Education: HCPC registered. Complete a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry, a pre-registration MSc (if you already have a relevant degree), or a degree apprenticeship in podiatry.
  • Experience: 2 years+ experience
  • Skills: communication, empathy, patience

You must have access to a car and have a full UK drivers license
