Job Description:
- Support students withandnbsp;profound and multiple learning difficultiesandnbsp;in both classroom and therapeutic settings
- Assist withandnbsp;personal care,andnbsp;mobility, andandnbsp;communication needsandnbsp;using a range of specialist strategies and equipment
- Work closely withandnbsp;teachers,andnbsp;therapists, andandnbsp;familiesandnbsp;to deliverandnbsp;individualised learning plans
- Create aandnbsp;safe,andnbsp;stimulating, andandnbsp;sensory-rich environmentandnbsp;that promotes engagement and wellbeing
- Encourageandnbsp;independence,andnbsp;confidence, andandnbsp;joy in learningandnbsp;through tailored support and positive reinforcement
- Contribute to theandnbsp;wider school communityandnbsp;throughandnbsp;events,andnbsp;celebrations, andandnbsp;inclusive enrichment activities
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience working withandnbsp;SEND learners, particularly those withandnbsp;PMLD,andnbsp;complex medical needs, orandnbsp;non-verbal communication
- Beandnbsp;empathetic,andnbsp;resilient, andandnbsp;adaptable, with a calm and caring approach
- Be confident usingandnbsp;PECS,andnbsp;Makaton,andnbsp;switches, or otherandnbsp;AAC toolsandnbsp;(training can be provided)
- Demonstrate a commitment toandnbsp;safeguarding,andnbsp;dignity, andandnbsp;student-centred care
- Be aandnbsp;team playerandnbsp;who bringsandnbsp;positivity,andnbsp;creativity, and aandnbsp;can-do attitudeandnbsp;to every challenge
