SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA) Annual Salary: 15.55- £17.75p/h(umbrella) Location: Lambeth, London Job Type: Full-time We are seeking a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team Lambeth. This role is crucial in providing essential learning and accessibility support to young people and adults with SEND. The ideal candidate will have experience in areas such as Team Teach, challenging behaviour, PEG feeding, manual handling, hoisting, and personal care. Day-to-day of the role: Provide person-centred learning support to learners with severe and complex learning difficulties and/or disabilities. Facilitate learners'' access to and achievement of learning programmes, supporting their access to all college services and activities. Support the personal development of learning/study skills and educational outcomes, including those relevant to individual Educational Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Work with individuals or small groups to encourage engagement with activities or to work independently. Assist learners with personal care, medical needs, and mobility as necessary, taking instructions from learners regarding their support needs. Required Skills and Qualifications: Good literacy and numeracy skills. Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with learners, teachers, parents/carers, and other agencies involved with the students.
