Do you want to play a key role in reducing reoffending by equipping adult learners in custody with practical trade skills, safety awareness, and recognised qualifications for the building services sector?We are recruiting for a practical, dedicated Plumbing Tutor to join the vocational education team on-site at HMP Wayland. In this hands-on role, you will deliver plumbing qualifications up to Level 2 to small groups of prison-based learners, developing their technical competence, pipework skills, and workplace discipline to help them secure meaningful employment upon release. What You Will Be DoingVocational Instruction: Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality plumbing training up to Level 2, blending practical workshop activities with essential trade theory.Individual Training Plans: Ensure tailored training plans are established for every learner, offering ongoing advice, guidance, and constructive feedback throughout their qualification.Workplace Standards and Safety: Instill strict industry standards-including health and safety, water regulations, tool control, and workshop cleanliness-within a secure learning environment.Progress Tracking: Assess learner practical work, track achievements ..... full job details .....
