About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Plumbing Improver to join our team, assisting our engineers with a wide range of plumbing, mechanical and heating works across HIUs, energy centres, plantrooms and district heating systems.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills and experience within the mechanical and plumbing sector. You will work alongside experienced engineers, supporting them with planned maintenance, servicing, repairs, installations and reactive works.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist engineers with the servicing, maintenance and repair of Heat Interface Units (HIUs).
- Assist with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
- Support fault-finding and repairs on district heating systems.
- Assist with plumbing and mechanical works within energy centres and plantrooms.
- Assist with the installation, maintenance and repair of associated mechanical and plumbing equipment.
- Carry out general plumbing and mechanical tasks under the direction of senior engineers.
- Work as part of a team while developing the skills and knowledge required to progress within the business.
Requirements
- Previous plumbing or mechanical experience is preferred.
- A willingness to learn and develop within the HIU, energy centre and district heating sector.
- Basic understanding of plumbing and mechanical systems.
- Good practical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and assist experienced engineers.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work.
