Location: HMP Highpoint

Duration: 3 months +

Typical Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00

Pay rate: -17.72 - -23.00

Join an experienced facilities team at HMP Highpoint as a Plumber, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining the plumbing systems within the prison.

Your skills will contribute to the effective delivery of planned and preventative maintenance across the facility.

Duties of the Plumber Include (but are not limited to):

• Fault finding and rectification to maintain site service levels at all times.
• Completing plumbing installations, testing, and commissioning in line with statutory regulations and Health and Safety procedures.
• Carrying out allocated planned maintenance and small repairs as per service requests from the computer-aided facilities management system.
• Maintaining regular communication via radio in accordance with LSS protocols.
• Undertaking emergency and urgent tasks in accordance with Prison Service Specifications.

The successful Plumber will possess the following:

• Qualified as a Plumber to NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing (or significant relevant experience).
• At least two years'' experience in a plumbing role or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements.
• Due to the nature of the environment, you will need to complete standard Security Vetting.
