Plumber

We are recruiting an experienced Plumber to work at HMP Lowdham Grange, expected to be ongoing on a temporary basis for the next few months. This is a long-term temporary contract offering sociable, full-time hours and overtime. There is the possibility for a permanent role for the right candidate. Your new role: As a Plumber, you''ll be involved in a wide range of tasks crucial to our daily operations. Your responsibilities will typically include: Responsible for the provision of a variety of maintenance and reactive tasks (as possible in accordance with competency), with attention to detail and an uncompromising approach to compliance. Carry out PPM activities and reactive repairs. Routine and non-routine maintenance. Fault-finding and identification of life-expired equipment. Check, repair and make good faults and life expired equipment. Inspections, water sampling and risk assessment. Mains water supply repairs. Minimise wastage and continually improve processes. Ensure statutory works are carried out on time and that work is compliant. This role may include working at height and in all weather conditions. New works/installations/upgrades/commissioning. Follow MOJ Security protocols, including tool management. Any other duties commensurate with the role. Where required, you may be asked to support other establishments on an ad hoc basis.
