-20 per hour (approx. -39k salary equivalent)
Full-time + On-call rota (1 week in 6)

We are recruiting an experienced Mechanical Technician/Plumber to join a leading FM provider, supporting critical healthcare facilities across Glasgow.

You''ll be part of a skilled maintenance team ensuring the safe and continuous operation of mechanical building systems within a highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities of the Mechanical Technician:

• Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across a variety of hospital building services.
• Undertake repairs, minor works and variations (AHUs, calorifiers, heat stations, water systems, medical gases, pressure systems, legionella control etc.).
• Respond promptly to unplanned events in line with SLA requirements.
• Produce accurate risk assessments, method statements, and permit-to-work documentation.
• Maintain detailed work reports, task assessments, and test certificates.
• Work safely to EQUANS requirements, including SHTM standards, LV/Mechanical/Pressure/Confined Space rules.
• Support overtime and out-of-hours work when required.
• Participate in the on-call rota (additional remuneration provided).
• Liaise professionally with NHS staff, contractors, and colleagues.

The successful Mechanical Technician will have:

• Completed recognised plumbing apprenticeship.
• Minimum 2 years'' experience in mechanical maintenance.
• Competent in working on mechanical building services systems.
