About the Role

The Plug and Abandonment Well Intervention Engineer position, based in Mold, is a contract role paying between £400 and £950 per annum, with a long-term assignment supporting a major energy operator. This role requires proven engineering experience in well intervention or abandonment activities, alongside strong well planning knowledge and operational monitoring capabilities. You will produce detailed well programmes and deliver engineering support for plug and abandonment operations, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant delivery. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing programmes, monitoring offshore operations, and providing technical guidance. The role demands excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams. A contract or interim working pattern applies.

Requirements
Proven experience in Plug and Abandonment or Well Intervention engineering.
Well planning and operational monitoring knowledge.
Excellent technical, analytical and communication skills.
Able to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams
Role
You will be responsible for producing detailed well programmes and providing engineering support for plug and abandonment operations, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant project delivery.
Responsibilities
Prepare and review well programmes for plug and abandonment activities.
Monitor offshore P and A operations and provide technical support.
Ensure operations comply with company standards and industry regulations.
Liaise with operational teams and stakeholders throughout project execution.
Support planning, risk assessment and operational optimisation.
Assignment Details
Initial 4 to 6 month contract
Immediate start.
Flexible hybrid working with 1 to 2 weeks per month based in the client`s office in Mold, North Wales.
