About the Role

The PLC Software Engineer will deliver high-quality engineering services and innovative control solutions to water and wastewater clients across the UK. Based in Snodland, this permanent position offers a salary of £58,000 to £60,000 per annum. The role involves designing, programming, and testing PLC control systems, developing software solutions to client specifications, and carrying out site commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting. Candidates require commercial PLC programming experience, ideally within the water or wastewater sector, alongside Siemens PLC training. A strong grasp of automation and process control systems, knowledge of electrical control panels, relevant Electrical or Electronic Engineering qualifications, and a full UK driving licence are essential.

We are looking for a skilled PLC Software Engineer. You will be involved in delivering high-quality engineering services and innovative solutions to water and wastewater clients across the UK.
Key Requirements
Commercial experience in PLC programming (ideally in the water or wastewater industry).
Siemens PLC training or experience.
Site commissioning experience, including testing, troubleshooting, and client support.
Strong understanding of automation and process control systems.
Knowledge of electrical control panels.
Relevant qualifications in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
Full UK driving licence.
Key Skills
Design, develop, program, and test PLC control systems.
Specify, design, and build PLC software solutions based on client requirements.
Carry out on-site commissioning of control systems.
Provide technical support during installation and handover.
Work closely with internal teams and clients to deliver high-quality engineering outcomes.
