Data Platform Engineer/DV Clearable/5 days a week on-siteLocation: London We''re looking for a Platform Engineer to build and maintain scalable, secure and high-performance data platforms. You''ll play a key role in ensuring reliable data services while working closely with data scientists, analysts and engineering teams.What you''ll be doingBuilding and maintaining scalable data platform infrastructureEnsuring high availability, performance and security of data servicesDeveloping and maintaining data pipelinesCollaborating with data teams to integrate tools and servicesTroubleshooting complex platform and data infrastructure issuesSupporting cross-team integration with wider systems and applicationsDriving improvements across platform architecture and designWhat we''re looking forEssential:Strong experience in platform engineering/operations (Linux-based)Experience with data platforms or big data environmentsUnderstanding of data lake architectures and data governanceStrong knowledge of security (encryption, access control, vulnerability management)Experience with Scripting and automation (Python, Bash, Ansible, Puppet)Familiarity with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)Nice to have:Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins)Exposure to data tooling (Airflow, NiFi, Elasticsearch)Experience with Cloudera/Hadoop ecosystems (Spark, Hive, HDFS)Why join?Work on modern data platforms at scaleCollaborate with data scientists and engineering teamsOpportunity to shape ..... full job details .....
