Plater/Welder

Our client is a fast-growing manufacturer of pressure vessels, heat exchangers and fabricated equipment for sectors including Nuclear, Oil and Gas, Water Treatment and Heavy Industry. Due to continued expansion they''re looking for a skilled Plater / Fabricator to join their production team in Pencoed and help deliver high-quality engineered products to customers around the world. The Role Cutting, grinding and laying out sheet metal, plate, tube, pipe, channel and anglePerforming MIG and MMA tack welding on mild steel, stainless steel and aluminiumAssembling and fabricating high-quality finished productsMarking out cylinders, nozzle locations and weld preparationsUsing plasma and gas cutting equipment safely and effectivelyPreparing pipework, flanges and structural components for weldingFollowing strict health and safety procedures and PPE requirements About You Previous experience as a Plater, Fabricator or Metal FabricatorConfident reading fabrication drawings and working accurately to dimensionsExperience using workshop equipment such as saws, drills, rotators, manipulators and cranesKnowledge of pressure vessels, pipework or structural steelwork is advantageousComfortable working at height and in confined spacesStrong understanding of workshop safety standards and safe working practicesForklift training is beneficial but not essential Why Join Us?
