Suitable candidates will come from a heavy engineering background - ideally ship repair, oil and gas or offshore.You will be responsible for carrying out fabrication tasks to a high standard of safety, accuracy, and quality.Key Responsibilities: Read, interpret, and work from complex engineering drawings and specifications Fabricate, assemble, and install structural steelwork and components to required tolerances Cut, shape, and prepare materials using a variety of hand and power tools Carry out plating, fitting, and welding operations as required Ensure work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards Work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines Follow all site safety proceduresCandidate Requirements: Time served Apprenticeship or SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Fabrication Previous background in marine, oil and gas or offshore Ability to work directly from engineering drawings Proven experience in fabrication, plating, and structural steelwork Safety conscious with a good knowledge of health and safety regulations Ability to work flexibly, including overtimeRates and hours:40 hours per week standard, Overtime is available and currently being worked (3 afternoons and a saturday morning)PAYE: 17.17/h plus 2.07/h holiday pay (can be accrued or advanced) or Umbrella co/CIS: 23/hOvertime (x1.5) - PAYE: 25.76/h plus 3.11/h holiday pay or Umbrella/CIS: 34.50/hThe current contract is running until Christmas 2025. ..... full job details .....
