Key Responsibilities Fabricate, assemble, fit and install structural steelwork components to engineering drawings and technical specifications Mark out, cut, burn, form and straighten plate and structural sections using oxyfuel, plasma, grinders and related tools Carry out structural repairs, renewals and modifications on submarine hulls, frames, bulkheads, decks and internal structures Work to tight tolerances in confined spaces and submarine compartments Use jigs, fixtures and templates to ensure accuracy and repeatability Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, weld symbols and technical documentation Collaborate with welders, mechanical fitters, pipefitters and NDT teams to meet project targets Adhere to all MOD, dockyard and safety regulations, including confined space and hotwork controls Conduct self inspection to ensure work meets required standards before handover to QA/NDT Support problem solving activities and contribute to efficient workflow during refit phases Required Experience ...
