Plater Fabricator

Job Title: Experienced Fabricator / Plater

Location: Chesterfield

Salary: -15.50 to -16.50 per hour (plus overtime)

Contract: Temp-to-Perm

We are currently recruiting an experienced Fabricator / Plater on behalf of a family-run engineering business based in Chesterfield. The workshop handles a highly varied workload, meaning the day-to-day work is engaging and avoids repetitive jig work.

You will be joining a small, close-knit team where staff work well together and support each other on the shop floor.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as a Plater or Fabricator.
• Competence in standard fabrication processes, specifically bending, shearing, drilling, and rolling.
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• A reliable work ethic and a collaborative approach to workshop duties.

Working Hours and Remuneration

• 4-day working week: Monday to Thursday, 06:00 to 16:30.
• Starting pay of -15.50 to -16.50 per hour, dependent on experience.
• Overtime is available and paid at 1.5x the standard rate.
• Potential for a pay increase following the completion of a probationary period.
• 12 week Temp-to-perm contract structure.
