Plant Technician If you would rather be outdoors and hands-on than stuck behind a desk, this is the role for you. This is a Plant Technician role with a growing renewable energy business near Ely, on a four-on, four-off shift pattern. As a Plant Technician you will keep the plant and machinery running across a growing renewable energy operation, working on the equipment that turns organic waste into clean energy. It is varied, genuinely hands-on work, service, repair, maintenance, installation, fault-finding and inspection, on a four-on, four-off, 12-hour shift pattern. Be clear on one thing: this is an outdoor role, with up to 90% of your time spent outside across operational plant areas, often at height and in all weathers. If you are a practical, resilient technician who likes different problems every day and takes pride in keeping things running, no two days here will be the same. Job Responsibilities Carrying out repairs and maintenance in line with the schedules set by the maintenance managers Performing service, repair, maintenance, installation, testing, inspection and fault-finding to a high standard Working on motors, engines, augers, conveyors, gearboxes, pneumatics, hydraulics and valves Working outdoors and at height across operational plant areas, in all weather conditions Operating plant machinery such as tele-handlers and forklifts, with training provided Keeping accurate maintenance records using company logging systems on a handheld tablet Working safely ..... full job details .....
