Plant Team Leader

Inspire Resourcing Ltd are working with a client exclusively to find a Plant Team Leader who understands the requirements of running a department. Location: Chesterfield (outskirts) Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00am 2:00pm Contract: Permanent Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Role Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Metallurgy Plant Team Leader to oversee day-to-day operations at our clients Chesterfield facility. The successful candidate will ensure production targets are met, quality standards are maintained, and health and safety procedures are strictly followed. Duties: Supervise daily operations of the shop floor (plant environment), ensuring smooth workflow and efficiency Lead and manage a team of operatives, providing guidance, training, and support Monitor production output, quality, and compliance with specifications Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to health and safety standards Organise shift schedules, allocate tasks, and manage attendance Liaise with management on production planning, resource needs, and performance updates Maintain accurate records of production, quality checks, and reporting systems Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions Requirements Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing or plant environment (Metals, Laboratory, plating, welding, metallurgy) Strong leadership and communication skills Good understanding of health and safety regulations in industrial ..... full job details .....
