Job Title: Plant Operative / Waste Processing Operative
Location: Carryduff
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 5:00pm (45 hours per week)
Pay: £12.71 per hour + Bonuses
The Role
We are recruiting for a Plant Operative to support the safe and efficient running of a busy waste treatment facility. This is a hands-on role involving plant operation, waste sorting, and general site duties to ensure smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy plant and machinery safely and efficiently
- Monitor equipment performance and report faults
- Carry out waste sorting, segregation, and processing
- Follow all Health andamp; Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment
- Assist with loading, unloading, and movement of materials
- Complete basic records, checklists, and report issues to management
Requirements
Essential:
- Experience operating plant or machinery
- Ability to carry out manual/physical work
- Good communication skills
- Reliable with strong attendance
- Team player with a proactive attitude
- Flexible to work overtime when required
Desirable:
- CSR Card or Health andamp; Safety qualification
- Full driving licence
- Experience with agricultural machinery
- Basic mechanical knowledge
