Plant Operator

About the role:
Astute''s Renewables Team is partnering exclusively with a key business and influential player in the UK Anaerobic Digestion market. The company are seeking to add a Plant Operator with hours between 7am- 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Plant Manager you will:

• Monitor the anaerobic digestion plant, ensuring optimal run time
• Support the Plant Manager to implement and achieve operational and personal targets
• Ensure that the plant is clean and tidy
• Feed the plant using a Telehandler
• Ensure that the extruders are running smoothly and attending to any issues
• Maintain all relevant site health, safety, quality and environmental standards
• Ensure that health and safety is adhered to at all times
• Perform visual checks of the plant, logging all findings
• Perform any housekeeping duties that need doing
• Other duties are required

Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:

• Telehandler licence or proven experience using and driving a Telehandler
• A recognised engineering qualification is preferred but not essential
• Experience working night shifts is highly preferred
• Demonstrable experience of working alone and in upholding great H&S standards
• Experience in an agricultural, production or process environment
• UK driving licence

Personal skills:
The Plant Operator role would suit someone who is:

• A problem-solver and self-starter
• Excellent verbal and written English language
• Someone hard-working who can work on their own and can be trusted to do what needs to be done with minimal supervision
