-17.25 per hour (Saturday Rate)
-20.70 per hour (Sunday Rate)

4 On 4 Off Shift Pattern

Pin Point Recruitment are currently recruiting for a-Plant Operative-with a Loading Shovel qualification-to join a busy waste and recycling operation based in Darwen.

This is a hands-on role working within a fast-paced processing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the safe and efficient movement, processing and handling of materials across site while maintaining high health and safety standards.

Duties:

• Operating loading shovel plant machinery
• Moving and processing waste and recyclable materials around site
• Feeding materials into processing equipment
• Carrying out routine housekeeping duties across operational areas
• Assisting with the loading and unloading of vehicles
• Conducting daily equipment checks and reporting defects
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
• Following site procedures and health & safety regulations at all times
• Supporting operational teams with general plant duties as required

Requirements:

• Loading Shovel qualification-(essential)
• 360 Excavator qualification (desirable)
• Previous experience within waste, recycling, quarry, aggregates or industrial environments preferred
• Strong awareness of health & safety procedures
• Reliable and hardworking attitude
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Comfortable undertaking physical duties when required

Working Hours:

• 4 On 4 Off shift pattern
• Site operates between 06:00 and 18:00
• Shifts will be scheduled within these operating hours

PPE Requirements:

Candidates must provide their own:

• Hard Hat
• Hi-Visibility Vest
• Safety Boots
