Job DescriptionJob OverviewThe Plant Manager must excel in a process-driven, results-oriented environment. While experience in the centrifugally cast tube process is desired, it is not required. This role requires an individual who demonstrates sound judgment, thrives under pressure, and possesses strong communication, administrative, and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will effectively balance multiple priorities while working both independently and collaboratively. As a key leader, they will guide foundry operators, manage conflicts, and facilitate employee development, all while focusing on process enhancement. The Plant Manager will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of hard work, professional growth, and success celebration, driving continuous improvement throughout the foundry operation.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Oversee daily operations of both foundry and machine shopDevelop and implement process improvement strategies to enhance efficiency and qualityParticipate in strategic planning to align department goals with overall company objectivesManage and optimize production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlinesEnsure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standardsLead and mentor the foundry team, including operators and supervisorsAnalyze production data and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvementCollaborate with other departments (e.g., sales, maintenance, engineering) to resolve issues and implement solutionsManage inventory levels of raw materials and finished productsDevelop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and customersOversee equipment maintenance and upgrades to ensure optimal performanceManage budgets and control costs while maintaining production qualityStay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in centrifugal castingDevelop and implement training programs for staff to enhance skills and knowledge in centrifugal casting techniquesQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, or Industrial ManagementGeneral knowledge of materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing effective manufacture of castings and efficient foundry production flowExperience with ERP systemsFunctional knowledge of basic math and its application to foundry activities and managementWorking knowledge of machines and tools including usage, repair, and maintenancePrioritization and time management skillsAbility to positively influence team members both personally and professionally to achieve high performanceA passion for metallurgy and manufacturing processesTech-savvy with the ability to decode complex blueprintsCompany DescriptionAdvanced Centrifugal is a manufacturer of centrifugal cast heat and corrosion-resistant alloy tubes used in various industries, including Heat Treat, Aerospace, Automotive, Steel Mills, and Cement and Lime.
