Hales Group are working with their client, who are offering a great benefits package, to assist them in finding an experienced Site Supervisor or Manager to take responsibility for the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of their manufacturing site. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in industrial or manufacturing environments who can lead site operations, manage health & safety, oversee contractors, and ensure logistics run smoothly.
Hours
Monday to Friday | 7.30am - 5.00pm | Spring Season | 6.00am - 6.00pm | No Weekends
Salary
£45,000 Per annum
Duties Include:
- Lead all site Health, Safety and Environmental activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Implement environmentally sustainable practices, reduce waste, and optimise resource use.
- Develop and manage the site''s operational budget, ensuring cost control and efficient resource use to meet financial targets.
- Manage contractor activities, including inductions, risk assessments, method statements and permit-to-work systems.
- Ensure all maintenance, engineering and project work is completed safely and in accordance with site procedures.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections and investigations, implementing corrective actions as required.
- Take responsibility for site security, facilities management and overall site standards.
- Coordinate site logistics, including deliveries, dispatches, vehicle movements and storage operations.
- Resolve operational and logistical issues to minimise disruption and maintain business continuity.
- Monitor site performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, safety and cost effectiveness.
- Manage and develop site personnel, promoting a positive and proactive working environment.
- Ensure all site documentation, permits, compliance records and reports are maintained accurately.
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent essential.
- Previous experience managing operations within an industrial, chemical, engineering, bio-chemical or oil & gas site, either as a supervisor or manager
- Strong Health & Safety knowledge with experience managing permits, contractors and compliance.
- Experience coordinating site logistics and resolving day-to-day operational challenges.
- Confident managing multiple priorities within large site.
- Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
- Experience leading safety initiatives and fostering a positive safety culture.
