Workshop Manager - Plant Hire Ludlow Depot (SY8 3QF) Monday-Friday, 42.5 hours per week Competitive salary + bonus + benefitsWe are looking for an experienced Workshop Manager to lead the workshop team at our Ludlow depot.You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the workshop, ensuring all plant and equipment is maintained, repaired, and fully compliant with safety and regulatory standards.This is a hands-on leadership role within a busy plant hire environment, overseeing a fleet including excavators, rollers, dumpers, pavers, loading shovels, and welfare units.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, manage and support the workshop team to deliver high-quality maintenance and repair servicesPlan and prioritise workload to ensure plant availability and minimal downtimeEnsure all equipment is maintained in line with service schedules and legal compliance standardsCarry out inspections and ensure all health, safety, environmental and quality procedures are followedDiagnose faults and support complex mechanical/electrical repairs where requiredMonitor workshop performance and drive continuous improvementEnsure accurate records are maintained for servicing, repairs and complianceLiaise with the Depot Manager and other departments to ensure operational efficiencyMaintain high standards of housekeeping, safety and workshop disciplineWhat We''re Looking ForStrong background in plant maintenance / heavy equipment repairPrevious experience in a supervisory or workshop management role ..... full job details .....
