Plant Maintenance Engineer / Mechanic - Manchester and Liverpool Our client, a multinational Cement Company, is seeking a Plant Maintenance Engineer / Mechanic to join their busy operation covering two sites one in Manchester and one in Liverpool. As part of the maintenance team, you''ll help keep a wide range of site machinery and plant running efficiently. With cement deliveries arriving daily, the operation depends on well maintained equipment, including both small and heavy duty forklifts. Full training and ongoing development will be provided, giving you the opportunity to build your skills across all machinery used on site. Key Responsibilities of the Role:To undertake mechanical maintenance work, diagnose mechanical defects and perform breakdown repairs.Carry out routine planned preventative maintenance tasks.Plan mechanical maintenance work daily in consultation with the Assistant Manager.Document the completion of maintenance works with the Assistant Manager.Supervise additional contractors working on site.To ensure safe working practices are followed and that all safety regulations are complied with. The Successful Candidate:Will have passed a Level 3 Mechanical qualification in BTEC, City and Guilds or NVQ and have Certificates.Requires a minimum of 3 years'' experience in a mechanical and/or electrical vehicle field.Have a good knowledge of hydraulic and Pneumatic systems.Have excellent communication and organisational skills.Be comfortable working in an ..... full job details .....
