This is a hands-on role maintaining and repairing both fixed and mobile plant, carrying out planned maintenance, fault finding and breakdown repairs to keep the site running safely and efficiently. The Role You will be responsible for: Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and responding to breakdowns. Diagnosing faults and repairing equipment including conveyors, screens, trommels, motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts and hydraulic systems. Maintaining mobile plant such as loading shovels, excavators, shredders and site vehicles. Completing mechanical repairs, welding and fabrication where required. Inspecting equipment, replacing worn components and keeping maintenance records up to date. Carrying out minor repairs to HGV equipment, buildings and site infrastructure. Working closely with the operations team to minimise downtime. Following all health and safety procedures and wearing the required PPE. Supporting overtime or on-call requirements when needed.
