The role involves carrying out planned maintenance, responding to breakdowns, diagnosing faults, and completing repairs to keep the site operating safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM). Diagnose faults and repair plant machinery to minimise downtime. Maintain conveyors, screens, trommels, motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts and hydraulic systems. Service and repair mobile plant, including loading shovels, excavators, shredders and site vehicles. Carry out minor repairs to HGV operating equipment. Complete welding, fabrication and mechanical repairs where required. Inspect equipment and replace worn or damaged components. Maintain accurate maintenance records. Support continuous improvements to plant reliability and performance. Work closely with the operations team to ensure minimal disruption.
