Vehicle Maintenance Fitter / HGV Technician Darley Dale £43,036.20 per year Monday-Friday, 07:30-16:00 PermanentThorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Maintenance Fitter, HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Mechanic or Plant Fitter to join a busy heavy industrial recycling and manufacturing business in Darley Dale.This is a permanent days-based role maintaining and repairing a varied fleet of commercial vehicles, trailers, mobile plant and associated equipment.Duties include: Routine servicing, preventative maintenance and safety inspectionsDiagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and braking faultsRepairs and component replacement across engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, braking systems and hydraulicsPreparing vehicles and plant for MOT, plating and statutory inspectionsInvestigating and rectifying driver-reported defects and breakdownsAttending on-site and off-site breakdowns where requiredFabrication, welding, cutting, grinding and minor repairs where competentAccurate completion of maintenance records and job cardsMaintaining a safe, clean and organised workshop You''ll need: Experience maintaining commercial vehicles, HGVs, trailers, mobile plant or industrial vehiclesStrong fault-finding and mechanical diagnostic skillsGood knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and braking systemsRecognised Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle, Plant Maintenance, ..... full job details .....
