Plant Fitter

ACR are currently work with-a well-established Main Contractor delivering high-quality projects across Civil Engineering, Groundworks and Demolition. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they-are looking to recruit an experienced Plant Fitter to join their-team.

As a Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for the inspection, servicing, maintenance and repair of a wide range of construction plant and machinery. This position will be-on site, based in Stanford-Le-Hope.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair heavy plant and construction equipment.

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.

• Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance.

• Attend breakdowns on site and complete repairs efficiently.

• Ensure all plant is maintained to a high safety standard.

• Keep accurate service and repair records.

• Work closely with site managers and operators.

Plant & Equipment May Include

• 360 Excavators

• Dumpers /-Rollers

• Telehandlers

• Bobcats & Dozers

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Plant Fitter / Plant Mechanic / Heavy Plant Engineer.

• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, engines and electrics.

• Experience working within Civil Engineering, Groundworks or Demolition preferred.

• Ability to work independently and manage workload.

• Full UK Driving Licence (essential).

• Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent desirable).
